IonQ's Architecture team needs a staff technical programme manager for its work with DARPA's Quantum Benchmarking Initiative, which is meant to show when a fault-tolerant, utility-scale quantum computer can be delivered. The job is an integrated master schedule spanning several internal development efforts, plus risk forecasting and ownership of architecture and verification and validation deliverables for government evaluators. It asks for roughly five years of hands-on quantum experience — trapped ion, neutral atom or another hardware platform — and prior programme management, often in defence. A US security clearance is required, and the role is on site at least three days a week.
