Infleqtion is hiring a staff physicist in Boulder to lead and support R&D on atom-based inertial and gravitational sensors. The work spans atom interferometry, cold-atom systems, laser and vacuum hardware, requirements, error budgets, simulations and trade studies, and runs from concept through test and deployment. The posting asks for a PhD in atomic or optical physics or a related field, practical sensor or precision-measurement hardware experience, and collaboration across engineering teams. Customer-facing proposal work and balancing performance against size, weight, power, cost, reliability and field robustness make it distinctive.
