IonQ's Quantum Interconnect Division is hiring a senior engineer to build and expand the optical test infrastructure used to characterize integrated photonic devices, both classical and quantum, at chip and wafer scale. The work covers room-temperature and cryogenic setups: designing procedures, automating instrument control, data acquisition and analysis, and coordinating with design, packaging and system teams. The posting asks for a master's or PhD plus three years of optical spectroscopy experience, familiarity with free-space optics, lasers and fiber, and scripting for test automation.
