IonQ is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Reliability Engineering at its Oxford Ionics site in Oxford, England. The job is onsite and full-time. The person will maintain the live quantum-computer fleet, trace mechanical, vacuum, cryogenic and thermal faults, rank them by uptime impact, analyse failed parts, design and test fixes, write upgrade instructions, and keep PLM, build records and change requests current. The posting asks for 4+ years of mechanical design experience, CAD (ideally SolidWorks), GD&T, PLM, and cryogenic, vacuum or optomechanical exposure. Quantum experience is not required.
