QuantWare is hiring a research engineer to design Josephson travelling-wave parametric amplifiers (TWPAs) for qubit readout. The work: translating product specifications into TWPA layouts and circuit designs through simulation, miniaturising the architectures, integrating on-chip components such as pump coupling and isolation, and extending bandwidth while lowering noise. Requirements include a PhD or equivalent experience, more than three years of microwave design and simulation (CST, HFSS), and a record of matching simulations to cryogenic measurements.
