IonQ seeks a Quantum Design Enablement Engineer for its Manufacturing team in College Park, Maryland. The role is the main technical link between internal quantum chip designers and external foundries. Work includes tapeout, DRC/LVS physical verification, layout edits, test-structure layouts, reticle assembly, and PDK refinement. The posting asks for a bachelor’s or master’s in EE, physics, materials science or similar, 3–5 years of semiconductor manufacturing or tapeout experience, and familiarity with Calibre, Cadence Virtuoso or KLayout. Python layout automation and custom rule decks are preferred.
