Riverlane seeks a lead researcher for one of its science-focused quantum error correction teams in Cambridge. The job mixes hands-on QEC theory with technical leadership: running multi-person projects end to end, line-managing and mentoring researchers, shaping research priorities, working with hardware partners across qubit types, contributing to funding proposals, and writing and reviewing code. A PhD or equivalent experience, a publication record in theoretical work, project leadership and working knowledge of QEC are required; qLDPC codes, qubit modalities, Python or C++ help.
