Quantinuum's UK Quantum Error Correction team is offering an internship on an active project within its QEC stack, covering architectural design, analysis and implementation. Possible topics include algebraic geometry, tensor networks or ZX calculus, code automorphisms, classical simulation of non-Clifford fault-tolerant gadgets, compact magic-state preparation, partially fault-tolerant methods and small fully fault-tolerant algorithms on trapped-ion hardware. The role sits in a research-oriented group in London or Cambridge, with scientific direction from QEC researchers and close links to hardware and software engineers, and aims at a scientific publication and/or software libraries. Applicants must show interest in QEC and research publications demonstrating understanding of its fundamentals.
