PQShield is hiring a Director of Software Engineering to lead its engineering department and report to the CTO. The person will set software strategy, manage engineers, and oversee development of post-quantum cryptography libraries and secure protocols, including architecture, Agile delivery, CI/CD, and secure development practices. The posting asks for 10+ years in software development, 5+ in leadership, cryptography or cybersecurity education, and experience with OpenSSL/BoringSSL, C/C++/Rust, and side-channel countermeasures. Work is remote across several European countries, with occasional office travel.
