A 12-month fixed-term trainee post in Bluefors' Quantum and Measurement Team in Helsinki, on site. The trainee develops theoretical and numerical models tying together thermal behaviour of dilution refrigerators at millikelvin temperatures, the mechanical and thermal integration of control hardware such as wiring, filters and amplifiers, and Hamiltonian or open-quantum-system descriptions of how that environment affects qubits. Work feeds customer projects, internal R&D and published papers. Applicants need physics foundations, numerical methods for partial differential equations, Python and Git, plus depth in one modelling area. Scientific writing in English is required.
