IonQ seeks a hands-on packaging process engineer in its College Park cleanroom, focused on equipment that builds quantum processing units. The work is mostly on the floor: operating, programming, troubleshooting and improving wire bonders and die or flip-chip bonders; releasing recipes; investigating failures; training operators; and supporting prototype builds. The posting asks for a bachelor’s in engineering or physical sciences and one to two years operating complex automated equipment beyond coursework, onsite five days a week during training.
