QuEra Computing is hiring a senior scientific software engineer in Boston to build a reusable "autoresearch" platform: search strategies, agent and tool integration, and execution of long-running experiments that generate, evaluate and refine candidates. Early uses include improving software performance, discovering quantum error-correction codes with theorists, and architecture search with compiler researchers. The posting asks for strong engineering in Rust or a similar systems language plus Python, and deep experience in combinatorial optimization or evolutionary algorithms. Base salary is $160,400–$220,400, plus equity.
