Quandela's QPU Prototyping team seeks a senior optical systems engineer to own an optical development work package for next-generation photonic quantum processors. The work is mostly experimental: designing, aligning and operating optical setups, measuring transmission and losses, defining tests, and qualifying and integrating subsystems. It also involves coordinating engineers and scientists. The posting asks for a PhD in optics, photonics or physics, over five years' experimental experience, and strong linear-optics and metrology skills. It is 80% hands-on and 20% coordination; no initial people management; quantum computing experience is not required.
