IonQ is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Systems team in Oxford to design the mechanical hardware around ion-trap quantum processors. The work covers full ownership from requirements through CAD, bills of materials, assembly drawings, PLM documentation, supplier and manufacturing support. The posting asks for a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent, about five years’ industry experience, SolidWorks assembly skills, and familiarity with vacuum or cryogenic systems, GD&T, PLM or thermal analysis. Quantum experience is not required; US export-control rules apply.
