Infleqtion is hiring a quantum software engineer to work on nuclear physics applications. The job mixes research and coding: writing and testing software that applies quantum algorithms such as VQE, QPE and Hamiltonian simulation to nuclear physics problems, publishing results, presenting at conferences, and helping draft government and commercial proposals. Candidates need a BS or MS in a technical field plus Python, familiarity with nuclear structure and fermionic algebra, and hands-on use of Cirq or Qiskit. A PhD and knowledge of error correction or Stim are preferred. Based in Chicago, in the office three days a week.
