IQM's Readout team is hiring a quantum engineer, mid-level to senior, to develop new readout techniques for superconducting processors and support work toward error correction. The job mixes physics research with hardware and software: mid-circuit and terminal readout, calibration and benchmarking methods, modelling with circuit QED, implementing methods in the company's software framework and testing them on real machines, and feeding results back into QPU design. A physics PhD or equivalent industry experience and a publication record are asked for, plus Python. Based in Espoo; Munich also possible.
