QuantumDiamonds builds semiconductor inspection systems that use nitrogen-vacancy centres in diamond to map current inside chips. This six-month, full-time internship sits in the product development team in Munich and is lab-based: assembling, aligning and characterising optical and optomechanical setups for the Quantum Diamond Microscope, helping build and test cooling systems, taking interferometric and thermal measurements, soldering and cabling, and writing assembly procedures and test reports. Applicants should be studying or holding a degree in physics, photonics or engineering and have some hands-on optics lab experience.
