Alice & Bob is seeking a PhD researcher for its Error Correction team in Paris, working hybrid on codes for biased-noise cat qubits. The doctoral project, part of the QuBriC MSCA network, involves designing high-rate quantum error-correcting codes and logical-gate protocols with lifted-product and asymmetric-distance constructions, then validating them through hardware-in-the-loop simulations and small cat-qubit experiments. The degree is awarded by Sorbonne Université, with supervision by Christophe Vuillot and co-supervision by Mike Vasmer. Results feed an open code library and the company’s fault-tolerance roadmap.
