QuEra is hiring a Laser Safety Engineer for its Laser Systems program in Boston, on-site. The role owns laser safety at the architecture and design stage: optics and coating choices, beam routing, containment, stray-light detection, interlocks, access control and hazard analysis. It also aligns practice with ANSI Z136, IEC/BS EN 60825 and JIS C 6802 across US, UK and Japan sites. The posting asks for a physics or engineering degree or equivalent experience, hands-on Class 3B/4 laser work, safety engineering on real hardware, and optical measurement skills. Salary is $140,000–$180,000.
