Bluefors' machine shop in Syracuse, New York, is hiring a second-level CNC programmer to write, prove out and optimize programs for multi-axis machining centers turning out precision metal parts. The job covers tooling selection, setup sheets, part inspection, cycle-time reduction and daily direction and technical guidance for junior programmers, plus hands-on machine setup and maintenance. Candidates need a diploma or apprenticeship (or an associate degree with four years' experience), PartMaker and CAD/CAM familiarity, G&M code knowledge and the ability to read engineering drawings.
